GONSIN Innovative Application for Silence Session in the 8th World Investment Forum

The UNCTAD World Investment Forum is the pre-eminent global platform for investment and development. biennially gathering over 7,000 investment stakeholders from160 countries. GONSIN, taking into account the venue, scheduling, and nature of the forum, designed a comprehensive conference solution, with FS-FHSS Simultaneous Interpretation System, Infrared Simultaneous Interpretation System and the Professional Conference Microphones. In addition, we adopted FS-FHSS Simultaneous Interpretation System for silence session in the venue where no sound reinforcement was available.

New Application for Silence Session in the Large Venue

Silence Session indicates that traditional sound reinforcement systems are not used in the venue. Instead, participants use simultaneous interpretation receivers to select the suitable language channels and listen to the meeting contents through headphone.

The 8th World Investment Forum is taking place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, the largest exhibition venue in the Middle East. Multiple meetings are held not only in four designated conference rooms but also in 17 temporary conference rooms, that are semi-open. When there are multiple meetings going on at the same time, using a traditional sound reinforcement system can cause sound interference.

To address the language diversity of attendees from over 160 countries, it adopts simultaneous interpretation system in six languages: Arabic, English, French, Spanish, Russian, and Chinese. According to the five-day program, 6725 of simultaneous interpretation receivers are needed to put into use.

5321-seat of FS-FHSS Simultaneous Interpretation System is the main system, co-worked with professional conference microphones. Participants choose the appropriate language channel by receiver and listen to the content by headphone.

FS-FHSS Simultaneous Interpretation System utilizes digital technology for language channel isolation and incorporates innovative Frequency Hopping Selection Technology to ensure communication stability. This solution addresses the problem of the absence of a complete physical barrier between meeting rooms while preventing crosstalk issues.

Furthermore, the equipment can be quickly converted to apply in different venues, requiring just 1-2 access points. With flexibility, it can meet the rapid installation needs of temporary venues and improve the efficiency of the meeting.
